Pre-Surgery Behavioral Health Evaluation

A pre-surgery evaluation is conducted to determine whether an individual is mentally and emotionally prepared for a surgical procedure, often related to bariatric or gender-affirming surgeries. The assessment explores the individual's understanding of the procedure, ability to comply with treatment recommendations, coping strategies, and readiness for changes within the post-surgical lifestyle.
